Due to the fact that alcoholics have big bellies, most of us would think that alcohol is the main cause of having belly fats. For one reason, it is, since it lowers down the body's metabolism. A beer belly is not actually caused totally by alcohol, it also includes the amount of fattening food you eat every day. Belly fat accumulates when extra calories are stored rather than used.

Stress and lack of exercise are another important factors. Stress levels can cause an increase in bodz fat, though you might not notice it directly. Since it is like acruise control our thyroids have a big impact that keeps our body's metabolism running at the night speed. The same happens with hereditary factor.

It doesn't matter what causes it. You still have a hope. So, here you have some tips to get rid of that belly fat.

You should investigate why you eat and how you eat. Cutting down on your intake of processed food, fast food and junk food will cut your calorie intake dramatically. Minimize the use of fatty ingredients such as oil, butter, margarine, and cream. Instead of doing this you should eat fresh fruit, home cooked meals containing fiber, lean fat, protein and a wide range of grain products.

For regular exercise to be effective it does not need to be difficult but steady and routine. It is important to start an exercise program gradually rather than overwork yourself from the get go. You can play tennis or swim to substitute.

Most importantly, lifestyle changes can help you out a lot. Cut down on alcoholic beverages most especially beers. It is also important to take some time to wind up and enjoy a stress-free life.

But we shouldn't be drastic about getting results overnight eventhough we may be living in a fast paced world. These things do take time. But it is well worth the effort. - 20611
